My alarm went off very, very quietly this morning, and I slept right through it. Sigh.

[livejournal.com profile] mrmoosie woke Emily and me up with just 15 minutes to go before the beginning of camp. Fortunately, on the first day, they have down-time built in for paper signing and collection.

The counselors were being a bit lazy, and not stopping a group of boys from throwing dominoes. But one boy was building with the dominoes and Emily sat and watched him. Soon, they will all go and ice skate.

[livejournal.com profile] mrmoosie is falling asleep on the couch. Emily is playing some sort of video game on the iPhone. There are several trucks on our street, one of which is digging up the asphalt of the street. There have been emergency no-parking signs there for a while, so this must be planned.

For a while there were cones suggesting that we couldn't get out or into this street, but they have been moved.

Emily is actually healthy. She will be performing in an ice skating show this afternoon. She's wearing red and pink.

The ice rink is a happening place these days. I took Emily and a neighbor there. The neighbor met a boy of her own age there. In fact, they had called each other to make sure that they would be at the same place at the same time.

I saw a friend from my old workplace. She was bringing her 7 year old girl to meet another 7 year old girl there. I mentioned that Emily was being ignored (a bit) by the two beaux and wanted someone to skate with. The mother of *another* 7 year old girl heard me and mentioned that her girl wanted a friend to skate with. So we helped them turn themselves into a "gang of 4" skating girls.

So I met 2 7 year girls, 1 10 year old boy, and two moms that I had never met before. And one 7 year old and her mother that I had known before. I am socially exhausted!!

Emily has advanced to the next level in ice skating. Kind of a miracle. Today she did all her moves with style and flair...and fell down 3 times when not being graded. But the grade is not for does this easily and consistently. The grade is for does this at all!

I have really made a dent in the check-book balancing. I'm off by a penny somewhere, and I'm not done yet. But I'll find that penny yet!

And I found another list of ISP graduates for the LinkedIN group.

Emily is now in Pre-Alpha Plus. The choices of times are more limited, but it is definitely a good idea to sign her up for this last session of the season.
