Knitting patterns are free or low-cost for the same reason that razors are cheap and blades are expensive. They are also addictive.

I confess to not having picked up my needles in over a year.

Which is a shame, for I am in the middle of a project and used to carry them with me everywhere.

And, for I have just bought more yarn. Last week. On sale. Much, much more yarn.

Knitting madness...

While I owe much to [livejournal.com profile] crafting_change for having taught me to begin with, perhaps you can help me recall the skill sometime.

I picked up "Knitting for Dummies" from the library. It's pretty complete.

Tell me when and where you see another yarn sale. That stuff can be/is expensive.

A.C. Moore is our primary dealer. Good stuff, frequent sales. Just got another sale flyer from them last night, including a 50% off yarn clearance sale.

They're on the Pike, same shopping plaza as G Street fabrics, Silver Diner, and Toys"R"Us, near the White Flint Mall and metro. Their store locator provides access to each store's specials flyer and coupons.
