I'm back from teaching. Must prepare timesheet and submit.

The swine flu (H1N1) vaccine is in clinical trials. Everyone, get your seasonal flu vaccine ASAP to clear the decks for the H1N1. They ARE planning on two doses, probably with adjuvant.

I'll see if we can get the nasal spray again, then for the seasonal flu. It's supposed to last longer, and it sure doesn't make the kiddos nearly as upset.

MedImmune (the maker of the nasal spray) made 200 million doses of the H1N1 vaccine, which was 5 times the amount they intended. So they are applying to the FDA for permission to put it in droppers as well as syringes.

The nasal spray is more effective for kiddos, but less effective for adults like you and me. So get it for them, but get a shot for yourself.

Oh, and make sure to tell starstraf when the shots are available on campus.
