Emily last night was imagining a wonderful feast of all her favorite foods. She included in that list, spiral-cut ham by the best chef in the world. "You know, mommy, we went to see him sometime and ate that pig". That would be Pooch!!!

I absolutely must go shopping for groceries soon.

Yes. We needed something in the house to eat and I was super-hungry.

I have been browsing crockpot recipes all morning. MMMMMmmmm.

I bought an eggplant for one of those recipes. I hope I get to it soon.

I can't find my favorite pork chops recipe on my computer. I guess it only exists in hardcopy.

Money, it's a gas

T's retirement plan sent him a statement today (that was calculated on the 1rst). Oh boy!

I tend to regard it as a bit of a roller coaster. The job market/ unemployment figures paint actual suffering.

Of course, my perspective is a bit skewed. I know a lot more people underemployed, unemployed or alienated from the job market, than I know retired people. Statistically, if I knew a complete cross-section of the US, that should not be true. And many if not most of the people around here retired from the Federal government, so they have a government pension.

Somedays I just need quiet.

Not getting it tonight, unless I leave the house. Or find some noise-canceling earphones.

Emily and T are trading jokes. And pretending to *be* Ruff Ruffman. They are setting up a show.

I really need to do more Spanish tonight. But I need some quiet.
