There seems to be something gastrointestinal going around Emily's school. So when she complained of stomach pain this morning, they sent her to the health office with a call into me to pick her up. Unfortunately, I was pretty far away, so I didn't get her for 30-40 minutes (even racing). She seems to be happy and healthy (but with no appetite) at home.

Hopefully it's just something passing, and not the stomach bug... I keep hearing from people who have either had it or their kid has had it for more than just 24 hours this time around (yes, it's all over MD right now - was talking to someone at a gymnastics meet this weekend, now know people in Carroll, Howard, PG, St. Mary's, Frederick and Montgomery counties who have said it's going through their schools).

Well, she's acting healthy. I saw some other children from her class in the office also, and they looked sicker.

Healthy is good. Hope it stays that way. (and that she really did have a temporary tummy trouble, rather than just starting up with *that* trick... I know that if things are going rapidly through a school they tend to err on the side of "don't spread it", rather than the normal, have a rest and see how you feel in a bit)
