When Marine 1 flew over to take George W. Bush out of Washington, the crowd (which was much more dispersed by that point) sang "Nah nah nah nah, hey hey, goodbye". Now, none of us knew for sure that that was him, and he certainly couldn't hear us, but it did let us let out the frustrations that have been felt. Yes, it is time for a change.

Perhaps all misbehavior is relative. (or perhaps all misbehavior is caused by my relatives). It was better behavior than booing W when he was announced.

But I also think that there is a reason why the outgoing president is never invited to the balls, why putting him (or her, someday) on a helicopter is an official part of the ceremony (I am sure it was a train or house-drawn carriage back before helicopters). Even if the party didn't change, the person did and the new guy gets to make all the calls now.
