The compost pile is full of vines and locust bush remains. I am adding carrot tops and potato eyes and other debris from stew (or Hungarian goulash). It's probably too cold for much biological digestion (lows in the mid-30s)--the earthworms are probably hibernating--, but the mechanical compression and mixing and shattering should be getting started.
