Laryngitis

I've have laryngitis most of this week. It's very frustrating to not be able to speak loud (or at all). It is reminding me that I should really work on sign language with Emily (and Tim). My inability to forget things stands me in good stead, but it's no help when Tim or Emily can't remember the sign I am making.
I can finger-spell with Tim, but obviously not with Emily.

Tim is really good at spelling in his head. *I*'m the limiting factor there. If you are good at it, finger-spelling is faster than writing, and real sign language is faster still.

But I have to admit, I was writing a lot last week also.

Finger-spelling (Repeat)

When I was in high school, I once passed info for a German test by finger-spelling. They mixed German I and German II for the test (I was in German I) and my neighbor and another German II student used me as the conduit.
Somehow, I never think of that as cheating. *I* learned a topic that wasn't going to be covered until next year.

Anyway, Tim's reasonably good at the alphabet.
