I have lived through my sister's bridal shower. She will be married in three short weeks. And this week, I will be as busy as a one-armed paper hanger with Princeton Review stuff, so only two weeks for getting things done. It will be nice to see my extended family for 4 days, while living in separate cabins in the wilderness. We're bringing a map of the moon's surface (as seen from Earth) and a constellation chart and binoculars. The resort has a naturalist, and I think she has been alerted to the small ages of some of the guests, although I was thinking of emailing her to make sure.
The small ones (well, three out of four; the fourth stayed in San Diego) went to the butterfly exhibit at the Nature Center nearby with the menfolk while the women socialized. Emily asked Tim to name a "bad mermaid or merman" and he come up with Moriarty. Now, that name is called through the house often for Tim.
