Pulled garlic mustard today.

Yes, of course, if it doesn't belong in a lawn or garden, I have it. Most of it was on a path that the mailman uses to cut between our house and the neighbor's house. Bagged it and threw it in the regular garbage. I will have to keep an eye out for the rest of this spring, of course.

Incident at school

The middle school has a bus stop right at the back corner of the elementary school. One of the middle school students had a pellet gun and was fooling with it. The police came (or were already there) and ordered him to drop the gun. He didn't, so a police officer drew his gun and repeated the order. Finally he did and he was hand-cuffed and taken to the station. One girl (from his bus) wanted to talk to me about it, since I was an adult and nearby, although I hadn't seen anything. I asked her if she wanted to talk to a teacher or the principal. She didn't, since the boy was already with the police. I am wondering if I should have insisted.

The second (or third) shoe drops

My non-sleeping daughter of last night, is tired of course. She is lying on a couch moaning "mom, mom". I think she needs to lie there some more and just fall asleep.
