yet more frustration

I'm going to complain a bit.

I hate home ownership. We have now managed to schedule the contractors for next Monday. The last Monday before Christmas I note. And Christmas is our religious holiday of size all year. Easter is more important spiritually, but a) less happens to/in the actual house, and b) the preparation season is a good deal longer. In fact, so much of Easter is observed in Holy Week or Lent, it's not a point holiday.

We have certainly dug a big hole in our reserve fund for the home improvement. The damage is really just not calculable yet, Although the labor is well-estimated, the materials are not completely selected.

The forecast here is for rain, cloudy, rain, cloudy, rain, cloudy. I am sure that it could alternate for weeks like that.

The website that wanted to have the networking effect of being "the" business networking site has decided to close off access to 3rd degree connections. You can't even search them, unless you are a paid member.

I am not giving up on it yet, but I am not all smiles and cheer-leading.

Of course, the work-around (but it isn't very good) is to link to friends of friends and other people that you barely know (or to open networkers).

I hope school is going well today

Emily's first day back and she was just a bit late (the rain didn't help).

Better look at my to-do list and figure if I can do some of them at home/ not in the rain.

I've got the windows open and the heat off to try and get rid of some of the smell from the plumbing work that was done.

I am making dinner

It will be pizza for me and I'm not sure what for Emily. The pizza looks good, but fairly spicy.

Hmm, Emily fell asleep in her room. Maybe she'll eat later with T.

It's amazing how badly she behaves before she naps. I should really remember that atrocious behavior is sometimes a sign of needing sleep.
