And found that biochar is most helpful in soils with low carbon levels. Well, THAT's not our problem, nitrogen is our limiting factor.
One study showed that biochar used in areas with high carbon humus cause accelerated release of CO2 from decaying organic matter. However, it is highly useful in areas with poor soil structure and low carbon especially in cases of clay soils.
