So tired

[profile] tharline came home at 4am and messed around eating and stuff before going to bed at 6am. Now at 9:30am, Emily wants to play with him. The food *I* left out for him at 10pm was utterly disgusting and he sensibly went for something to eat cold from the fridge (yogurt) and something stable at room temperature (cereal). We need to go shopping for food today in addition to the scheduled errand of going to the Container Store and buying stuff to fix our front closet.

I was on a major paper-recycling streak last night. Hurrah!!!! Still more mess exists, but progress is being made.

I also got through the major knot in Emily's hair last night. So she looks slightly presentable.

We read part of "The Phantom Tollbooth" last night. Emily wanted to know more about "The Doldrums". I guess that we don't use that phrase very much.
