It's rough in the middle

Willingness to relocate will further enhance one’s job prospects.

WTH? Willingness to relocate!!!!! That is not something I expected to be a component of this field.

In the long term, being willing to relocate is always an enhancement to your job prospects. When one job ends, your odds of finding a new one are better if your search area is the whole country.

And my impression is that this is especially true of this sort of quasiprofessional job. On the one hand, the job market is smaller than for gruntwork like flipping burgers, so they're more likely to have to relocate to find an opening. On the other hand, they get less respect than professionals, so they're considered fungible and laid off more quickly.
